It is fitted with a detachable Raintex ML membrane which is comfortable on the skin as it’s laminated against comfy mesh fabric. This prevents the membrane from sticking to your skin when riding with short sleeves or sleeveless gear underneath.

Aside from mesh, this variant of the Empire consists mainly of Night Eye™ fabric; a reflective ground layer that’s loaded with microscopic dishes that reflect light back to its source, similar to High-Viz gear but without the kitschy look.

The membrane is connected through our Easy Cuff™ system; a zip solution that prevents loose, floating layers inside your jacket and your hands from getting stuck when putting your jacket on.

To prevent your jacket from creeping up in case of an incident, we’ve fitted our Belt Loop™; a strong piece of webbing that enables easy connection between your jacket and belt.

At the bottom of the main zip you’ll find our Zip Grip™, a triangular reinforcement that makes inserting and zipping up a lot easier – even with gloves on!

The push buttons at the upper arms require only two fingers to use, making them easy to adjust. Quixnaps™ is what we call these ‘quick-snaps’.

Our RISC™ level 1 impact protectors are present at the shoulders and elbows. RISC™ back and chest protectors are separately available and can easily be placed in the designated compartment. Be sure to check the size table before purchasing a back protector.

Additionally, this jacket is prepared for our MUPBP-1 P.A.L.S. base plate. This accessory can be attached to the lower back of the jacket to enable expansion of luggage capacity. The base plate contains the Pouch Attachment Ladder System that enables our utility bags to be worn on the body.
