THE SECRET FORMULA

• After the great success of some products that saw the use of merino wool within the composition, SIXS decided to expand the product range by creating an ad hoc line: MERINOS WOOL.

LOCATION OF MATERIALS

• We wanted the comfort of the product once worn to be the same as the other products in the SIXS catalogue.
• For this reason we have chosen to insert the polypropylene inside, in direct contact with the skin, and keep the merino wool (notoriously a little rougher and bristlier than other yarns) on the outside.
• Wool has thermoregulating properties that are superior to any other natural fiber, and therefore acts as a barrier against the cold.
• Polypropylene, on the other hand, is a hydrophobic yarn, i.e. it does not absorb liquids, and allows for optimal sweat management. Finally, carbon helps in thermoregulation, improves body microcirculation, is bacteriostatic (fights bad smells) and antistatic.
